Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 August 2026.

Peon is a filing service you use by email, run by YKYMF AI. These terms are written to be read. The short version: be reasonable, pay for what you use, and remember the whole thing is in beta.

1. The service.

Peon receives email you choose to send it, files the contents into a private wiki tied to your account, and answers questions about what it holds. Features arrive, change, and occasionally retire — beta means the furniture still moves.

2. Beta, plainly.

Peon is in active development. It can misfile, misread, or answer incorrectly, and the service may be interrupted while things are fixed. Keep originals of anything important and check anything that matters before acting on it. The wiki cites its sources to make that quick.

3. Your account.

Sign-in is by Google or by a code sent to your email address. Accounts are currently created by invitation only. You're responsible for keeping control of the mailbox you sign in with — anyone who controls that mailbox can reach your wiki.

4. Your content.

What you send Peon stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: to store your content, process it (including with the AI models that do the filing and answering), and show it back to you. Don't send content you have no right to hold, and don't use Peon to store or distribute anything unlawful.

5. Payment.

Peon runs on prepaid credit and optional memberships, purchased through PayPal; card details never touch this app. A membership is bought one month at a time and does not renew unless you turn auto-renew on; a renewing membership can be turned off at any time and continues to run until the end of the month already paid for. Credit bought as a one-off top-up doesn't expire. A membership's monthly credit deposit does: it is replaced at each billing cycle, and any unspent remainder lapses with the cycle it belonged to. Fees are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise or we say otherwise in writing — though if something's gone wrong, write to us; we're not monsters.

6. Acceptable use.

No probing or disrupting the service, no reselling access, no sending malware, no using Peon to harm others. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and refuse or stop service where we reasonably need to.

7. Security and incidents.

We work to protect your data — encrypted transport, restricted access, reputable infrastructure. No one can honestly promise perfect security, and we don't. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you what happened, what it touched, and what we're doing about it, as plainly and as promptly as we can.

8. Liability.

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including losses from unauthorised access, data loss, or reliance on an answer Peon got wrong — and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded; where consumer law grants you guarantees, those stand.

9. Ending things.

You can stop any time — export your wiki, then ask us to delete your account, and we will. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms, and we'll say why unless the law prevents it.

10. Changes.

When these terms change materially we'll flag it at sign-in and note the date above. Continuing to use Peon after a change means the new terms apply.

11. Contact.

Write to peon@ykymf.com — the same address as everything else.
